DISINFO: Ukrainian counteroffensive an attempt by the West to weaken Russia

SUMMARY

The West has realised the scale of the inevitable geopolitical setback and the consequences of a hypothetical success of its Kyiv puppets a long time ago. "The Ukrainian project" clearly did not live up to the hopes of the USA and NATO. Сontrary to the mythology and glorification of the “counteroffensive' by Western media, it is no different from the failure of the first stage. However sacrificing the Ukrainian Armed Force would allow the West to delay the establishment of an equitable and indivisible international security system, as Russia will be overwhelmed by problems for a while.

Americans are aware of the inevitability of Russia's expanded control over Ukraine and are planning to expedite deliveries of 'lethal' (outdated) Abrams tanks and equally ineffective (used) fourth-generation F-16 fighters.

RESPONSE

The article utilises well-established pro-Kremlin disinformation narratives, claiming that collective West uses Ukraine as "tool" against Russia The claim aims to present the unjustified full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine as a NATO and its Allies proxy war against Russia. It started at Putin’s personal decision to invade Ukraine to destroy its independence and territorial integrity, appealing various deceptive pretexts, including the denazification and demilitarization of Ukraine, the prevention of NATO expansion and protection of ethnic Russians in Donbass.

The US, the EU and NATO condemn in the strongest possible terms Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, which is entirely unjustified and unprovoked. Many nations support Ukraine with military and financial aid for the country’s efficient self-defence, in accordance with the UN Charter Article 51.

See the EU's response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine here and other examples of similar disinformation narratives, such as claims that the West is fighting Russia with the help of the Kyiv regime, the West is using Ukrainians to fight against Russia, or NATO was turning Ukraine into an enemy of Russia.
