Ukraine lives in Russophobia, and the Western elites still live in the Cold War mentality.
The actions of Russia such as the illegal annexation of Crimea and the backing of the separatists and their self-proclaimed authorities in eastern Ukraine are perceived as unfriendly steps/aggression by the majority of Ukrainian society. But this is not "Russophobia", indeed a significant part of Ukrainians freely speaks Russian.
