The shooter who tried to kill Trump has been positively identified as 20-year old Thomas Matthew Crooks. Although his motives remain unclear, his former classmates described him as conservative-leaning and as a “misfit” and a “loner”. Nothing indicates that he may be linked to any broader conspiracy.
