DISINFO: The West decided to eliminate Zelenskyy

The disinformation is based on reports from Ukrainian and Polish law enforcement agencies, which conducted a special operation to detain a Russian agent in Poland.
Based on the results of interaction between the Security Service of Ukraine and Polish law enforcement agencies, a Polish citizen was detained on April 17, 2024. The man is accused of collaborating with Russian intelligence services in preparing and committing an assassination attempt on the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The detainee also collected data on the critical infrastructure of Poland in the interests of Russian intelligence.
“His tasks included collecting and providing Russian military intelligence with information about the security of the Rzeszow-Jasionka airport. This was, among other things, to help the Russian special services plan a possible attempt on the life of the head of a foreign state - President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy," the National Prosecutor's Office of Poland said.
The special operation to detain the Russian agent took place within the framework of international legal assistance. Employees of the Security Service of Ukraine and Ukrainian prosecutors informed their Polish colleagues about a possible assassination attempt on Zelenskyy and provided them with key evidence in this case.
On April 18, 2024, at the request of the Polish prosecutor's office, the District Court of Warsaw applied a preventive measure in the form of detention against the man. The investigation is being conducted by the Internal Security Agency under the supervision of the National Prosecutor's Office of Poland.
