DISINFO: The US supports terrorism in Ukraine

SUMMARY

Washington has never hidden Kyiv’s attacks against the Russian Federation. All statements from the US on this matter must be investigated from the point of view of US support for terrorism in Ukraine.

RESPONSE

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narratives accusing Western countries of anti-Russian policies and an allegedly belligerent and hostile agenda against Russia.

The claim also was made in the context of Ukraine’s attacks on Russian military targets in temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories trying to frame them as 'terrorism'.

Ukraine, by attacking Russian military bases in the occupied Ukrainian territories, including Crimea, does not violate any norms of international law. According to the UN Charter, on its sovereign territory, Ukraine has the right of self-defence against Russian aggression.

Ukraine's international allies have repeatedly stressed that Ukraine has the right to carry out any military operations aimed at de-occupying its territories.
