DISINFO: The US needs an armed conflict in the South Caucasus
SUMMARY
An armed conflict in the South Caucasus is necessary and beneficial for the United States - as a tool for expanding the proxy war with Russia and restoring “hegemony.”
A new war between Armenia and Azerbaijan can only be prevented by Russia and Iran, which are not interested in destabilising and redrawing borders in the South Caucasus.

Pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative made in the connection of the military developments around Nagorno-Karabakh with the aim of deflecting attention away from Russia's role.
The narrative also promotes the constant Kremlin claim about Russia as the ultimate target of international events, accusing the West of having an anti-Russian agenda in the Caucasus, trying to encircle and destabilise Russia.
This narrative is rooted in an imperialistic view that the Caucasus region (among others) is exclusively within Russia's "sphere of influence". Similar disinformation narratives have been spread to justify Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
