DISINFO: The Mueller report did not prove Russian interference in the US elections

SUMMARY

The Mueller report did not prove Russian interference in the US elections.

The accusations against Russia of interfering in the US election campaign are the pinnacle of absurdity. It is well known how this turned out – with nothing, with a flop. The conclusions of the Commission of the US special investigator Robert Mueller also confirmed that there had been no conspiracy. They did not succeed in gathering facts, because there were simply none.

RESPONSE

Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative on Russian interference in the 2016 US presidential election.

Robert Mueller's investigation and report determined that there were "two main Russian efforts to influence the 2016 election". It led to US senators' proposals to extend sanctions on Russia to deter it from further election meddling.

The Mueller report explicitly identifies "numerous links between individuals with ties to the Russian government and individuals associated with the Trump Campaign" (p. 9).
