DISINFO: The Kyiv regime created a humanitarian disaster in Kherson

Kherson is needed by the fascist Ukrainian authorities only for the “pictures”. After the occupation of the city by the Kyiv regime, a humanitarian catastrophe began in Kherson. Electricity is constantly cut off, people are left without food, water, medical and other types of assistance.

Kherson is a city in the south of Ukraine, bordering on the temporarily occupied Crimea. Russia occupied Kherson on 24 February 2022, and Ukraine liberated the city on 11 November 2022.
The humanitarian situation in Kherson, as in many other front-line cities in Ukraine, is very difficult. The root cause of the current situation is Russian aggression against Ukraine and daily Russian shelling of Kherson. Due to Russian attacks, the city is experiencing interruptions in energy, heat and water supplies to the civilian population.
Russia shells every district of the city daily, killing Kherson's civilian population and causing colossal damage to the city's critical infrastructure. In just one day on 16 November 2023, the Russian army fired 347 artillery shells into the Kherson region. As a result, a number of Kherson civilians died, and part of the city was left without power. Even despite Russian shelling, the city lives with a central energy and water supply, and the heating season will begin in Kherson on 21 November.
Retreating from Kherson under pressure from Ukrainian defense forces in November 2022, Russia did everything possible to destroy the city and its power grid. The Russian army, fleeing to the left bank of the Dnipro River, blew up crossings and bridges in the Kherson region, destroyed boiler houses, communication towers and a television center in Kherson. After the Russian withdrawal, the city was left completely without power, without water and heating. Ukraine, after the de-occupation of Kherson, made every effort to restore the city’s infrastructure.
