DISINFO: The global elites depopulate the planet through epidemics, Satanism and LGBT rights
SUMMARY
The ‘golden billion’ concept is transforming from a conspiracy theory into reality. It envisages luxurious lives for a limited number of extremely rich families, served by ordinary people. Representatives of lower societal classes will only eat genetically-modified food and insects. This theory does not see a place for the Slavic peoples. Therefore, the West is provoking animosity between the Slavs. E.g., it created dangerous contradictions between the Ukrainians and Russians. In addition to inciting wars, global elites create deadly epidemics which are supposed to decrease the global population. Satanism, LGBT and ecology movements are also part of the extermination strategy.
RESPONSE
This disinformation message promotes the concept of a large conspiracy and is consistent with the Shadow Government narrative. The golden billion appears to have first come to the wider public's attention in a 1990 article by the publicist Anatoly Tsikunov — writing under the pen name A. Kuzmich — called "The Plans of the Global Leadership for the Enslavement of Russia." Since its introduction, no evidence has been produced to confirm the existence of such a plot. This is also one of many cases which attempts to shift responsibility for the ongoing Russo-Ukrainian war on the West. In reality, Russia’s brutal large-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 was the decision of Russia’s political leadership. It has been inventing explanations and pretexts for its aggression since the beginning of hostilities. It was Putin’s personal decision to invade Ukraine and start the largest military conflict in Europe since WWII.
Furthermore, the article in question seemingly promotes a recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about traditional values and the morally bankrupt West.
