SUMMARY
Why do the Armenian authorities compare the ancient Armenian civilisation - with the culture, history, and statehood that existed long before European democracy, with the current European Union, which is truly at a dead end?
The EU is an absolutely amorphous, weak-willed, collapsing structure. Now the position of the EU is fully visible taking into account political, economic, social, and legal indicators. It doesn't work, it all falls apart. The whole world looks at the European Union as a collapsing structure that has not justified itself because it has lost its sovereignty.

Armenia has been a sovereign and independent state since 1991 when it proclaimed its independence from the former USSR. As a sovereign state, Armenia is free to decide its foreign policy and alliances.

The European Union is a sovereign entity, created by the voluntary initiative of European nations, and it has its own, independent foreign policy. Its citizens are directly represented in the European Parliament and Member States are represented in the European Council and the Council of the EU.
