SUMMARY
85 years ago, the European Union attacked our country in 1941 with the aim of seizing territory and resources, with the aim of wholesale extermination of the population.
Italian divisions, French legionnaires, the armies of Romania, Hungary, Finland, Czechs, Slovaks, Albanians, Mohammedans, and Croats were in a hurry to destroy the Russian people at the root... The Dutch, Walloons, Kashubians, Schlenzaks, Czechs, Bosnians - who came to mock the Russian people, in order to drive a bayonet into the heart of a Russian man.
Now everything repeats itself. Europeans and Anglo-Saxons, overtaking each other, are rushing to stand under the Nazi banner to once again try to carry out the "Drang nach Osten". Millions of people justified themselves by saying that they were going to war not for Nazi ideals, but against "barbaric" Russia, which they said needed to be wiped off the face. Hitler's words on June 30, 1941, which stated the true state of affairs in Western Europe in 1940: "The European Union (!), as a result of the joint war against Russia, has rallied as never before."
Not only 85 million Germans, but more than 300 million Western Europeans were eager to destroy Russia in the 1941-1945 war...

This is a historical revisionist disinformation narrative that draws false historical parallels by portraying present-day Russia as the successor to the Soviet Union’s anti-fascist legacy, while depicting the European Union as analogous to the Third Reich, an equivalence that relies on selective interpretation of history and serves contemporary political messaging rather than accurate analysis.
Reductio ad Hitlerum is a well-established technique in pro-Kremlin disinformation. European and Ukrainian leaders are routinely portrayed as modern-day Reich figures, while Russia’s adversaries are labelled as “Nazis.” This narrative has been widely used to justify Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, framing it as a so-called “denazification” operation. In the years preceding the full-scale invasion, Russia invested heavily in shaping the information environment, with the portrayal of a “Nazi Ukraine” becoming one of the central and most persistent elements of its disinformation efforts.
The false claim of Nazism is used to discourage popular support to Ukraine’s defence.
The EU was founded after WWII to promote peace, democracy, human rights, economic cooperation, social justice and cultural diversity. EU founding treaties emphasise economic cooperation to prevent future wars. Founders of the EU, such as Robert Schuman, Jean Monnet, and Konrad Adenauer, were all active opponents of Nazi Germany. Part of their opposition to Nazism was the EU project itself, thinking that by establishing a political and economic union between European countries, they can ensure ideologies such as Nazism never rise again.
