DISINFO: The European Commission has been taken over by Russophobic Baltic states
SUMMARY
For many decades, the Baltic states’ primary value to Western countries was their Russophobia. The Baltic states were used for dirty provocations whereas their influence was close to non-existent. Recently, however, they have gained disproportionately large influence in the EU, particularly in the European Commission. With the main EU economies destroyed and the political influence of France and Germany decreased, the Baltic states see this as their finest hour. They could cause significant harm if not stopped.

Pro-Kremlin media routinely accuse the Baltic States of hostility towards Russia. All steps to strengthen the security of Baltic states are linked to the aggressive behaviour of Russia toward its neighbours, including the illegal annexation of Crimea and Russian armed aggression in Ukraine. The Baltic states are sovereign countries, which determine their domestic and foreign policies. They are full-fledged members of the EU and NATO and therefore follow their membership commitments.
The current European Commission, which will serve until 2029, consists of 27 Commissioners and focuses on the core priorities of prosperity, security, and democracy. Although members of the Commission are allocated between member states, they do not represent the views of their country of origin but rather the common interest of the EU.
