DISINFO: States that reject globalisation are bombed into submission
SUMMARY
Russia is leading a new geopolitical and civilisational bloc to halt the process of globalisation driven by an Anglo-American axis that seeks world hegemony. Globalisation requires the levelling of all cultures and peoples in the name of the world shopping mall and the world factory.
“Liberalism” seeks to impose globalisation on “rogue states” that resist globalisation by means of military invasion, financial credits, aid, commerce or “colour revolutions”. If commerce and moral corruption are unable to penetrate a state sufficiently, then “liberalism” bombs that state into submission, justifying its actions by means of slogans such as “the human race”, “humanity”, “global progress”.
RESPONSE
This is a conspiracy theory often spread by pro-Kremlin outlets claiming that liberal globalist elites and“liberalism” impose Western-driven globalisation around the world and rob nations of their sovereignty and identity.
According to this theory, Russia is leading a global resistance against US and Western domination, and against a process of globalisation that allegedly erases the cultures and identities of nations. The article is also consistent with recurrent pro-Kremlin narratives that seek to discredit liberalism and Western liberal democratic societies, depicted as decadent and morally corrupt.
The article’s claim that states resisting globalisation are “bombed into submission” if they cannot be penetrated by commerce or moral corruption is clearly a conspiracy theory that lacks any supporting evidence.
Furthermore, the article completely distorts the meaning of liberalism, falsely depicting it as a Western conspiracy that corrupts, penetrates economically or bombs non-Western states in order to subjugate them. In reality, liberalism is a political doctrine based on liberty, consent of the governed, individual rights (including civil rights and human rights), and equality before the law. Classical liberals espouse religious liberty, freedom of thought and speech, the division of governmental powers, an independent civil society, and rights of private property and economic freedom. Liberalism does NOT espouse the loss of national sovereignty nor the erasing of national cultures and identities.
Read similar cases claiming that global capitalism openly strives to destroy nations and establish a world government and that liberalism leads to the total loss of national sovereignty and to world government.
