DISINFO: Six people who received the Pfizer vaccine [against Coronavirus] died during its initial trials
SUMMARY
America and the EU are forced to bet on the Pfizer and BioNTech vaccine, which has shown effectiveness not higher than 90% (despite the fact that the Russian has at least 95%). The beginning of its mass use in the United States revealed cases of serious allergic reactions in people, not to mention that at the first stages of the tests only 6 (!!!) Deaths of subjects were officially recognised… And it needs to be stored at minus 70 degrees Celsius, while the Sputnik is stored in a regular refrigerator. American Moderna turned out to be three times more expensive than Pfizer.
RESPONSE
This is part of a disinformation campaign aiming to discredit any Western vaccines in order to support the image of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine after the latter was met with scepticism and criticism, even by Russian specialists in the country.
The claim is partly false.
Six people did die during the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine trials, but only two of them were given the vaccine. The other four were given a safe placebo solution of salt and water.
Furthermore, no causal relationship was established between the vaccine and the two deaths, which occurred in line with the normal death rate for the general population, as both of them were older than 55. One died of cardiac arrest 62 days after vaccination and the other from arteriosclerosis, a condition where blood vessels can harden with age, three days after vaccination.
The claim that Sputnik V demonstrates >95% efficacy has likewise been called into question. According to Science magazine, the assertion "doesn't pass the smell test," given that the percentage is based on merely 20 cases.
Read more cases that claim that Western vaccines are more dangerous than the Russian Sputnik V, or that Pfizer used to fake clinical trials, or that Pfizer might have delayed its vaccine announcement to get rid of Trump with EU encouragement, or even that "Sputnik V" criticism is based on financial motives.
