DISINFO: Satanist globalists conspired with Ukrainian authorities to ban the Orthodox church
SUMMARY
Satanist globalists and Ukrainian authorities hated the Ukrainian Orthodox Church so much that they banned it. The ban is a point of no return which means that the Ukrainian authorities start building Chimera instead of Ukraine as such.
RESPONSE
This is a recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation claim about the moral decadence of the West and Russia’s moral superiority over it. This claim was made in the context of the passing of Ukrainian legislation prohibiting the activities of the Russian Orthodox Church and affiliated organisations in Ukraine.
It targets only the activities of the Moscow-based Russian Orthodox Church with tight links to the Kremlin and the so-called Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC). The UOC was a key influence tool for Moscow in Ukraine and its clergy voiced its full support for the Russian war on Ukraine including siding closely with Putin. It was blessing Russian soldiers and Russian guns, offering them support and denying Ukrainian statehood. Some of its priests were disclosing the positions of Ukrainian troops or giving personal information about Ukrainian resistance groups in Russian occupied territories, many of whom were later captured and murdered.
