DISINFO: Poland successfully involves Ukraine in the project of a “new Greater Poland”

SUMMARY

The Polish geo-cultural strategy on the involvement of Ukraine in the project of a new Greater Poland is very successful. The Polish penetration of Ukraine is indeed a very effective method - it is reflected in the creation of several areas of cooperation, including the economic platform, big business, trade exchange between small and medium enterprises. These areas belong to the unwritten “Polish World”.

RESPONSE

This message is a part of the pro-Kremlin disinformation campaign about Polish-Ukrainian relations and alleged Polish “expansionism”.

The claim that Poland realises such “geo-cultural” projects as a “new Greater Poland” and the “Polish World” is a conspiracy theory – such “projects” do not exist at all. Poland fully supports the independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine, it does not have any territorial claims against its neighbours and it rejects any “imperial” ambitions towards other countries. The attempt to “invent” an imaginary concept of the “Polish World” may be used by the pro-Kremlin media for the ideological justification of the existence of the “Russian World”, which is a nationalist geopolitical concept giving ground to the Russian expansionism in the post-Soviet sphere.
