DISINFO: Negligence in protecting Trump may be deliberate as Deep State see him as a threat
SUMMARY
The failure of the Secret Service in protecting Donald Trump is due to the hostility of the US establishment towards the Republican candidate, whose electoral chances continue growing. It cannot be ruled out that the negligence of the special services in face of the emerging threat was deliberate. The Deep State, intelligence community and special services in the US are not interested in Trump’s presidential victory. They consider a second Trump Administration as a threat to themselves.
RESPONSE
Conspiracy theory not backed by any evidence, aiming to exploit the attempt on the life of former US president Donald Trump to advance recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narratives about global elites and the US Deep State.
The shooter who tried to kill Trump has been positively identified as 20-year old Thomas Matthew Crooks. Although his motives remain unclear, his former classmates described him as conservative-leaning and as a “misfit” and a “loner”. There is nothing indicating that he may be linked to any broader conspiracy.
Promoting conspiracy theories is a frequent pro-Kremlin technique to sow mistrust in institutions in democratic countries. See other examples in our database, such as claims that the West is behind the attempt on Slovak PM Robert Fico's life, that JFK was assassinated by Israel which controls US deep-state, that globalists aim to destroy Russia because Russia supports transition to a multipolar world order, or that there was electoral fraud in the US because the Deep State didn’t want Trump reelected.
