She reiterated this in a statement made on January 12, 2021, after a meeting in Kyiv with Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky. "The stability and security of the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine is vital for both states. We reaffirmed our mutual and firm support for the peaceful resolution of conflicts based on respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our states within internationally recognized borders," she said.
