DISINFO: Macron uses Russophobia to become Europe’s leader
SUMMARY
French President Emmanuel Macron is breathing out utter Russophobia because he wants to be Europe’s leader. Russophobia is based on artificially inflated information wars. Statements by EU and NATO leaders that they support Ukraine and defend European values for which Ukrainian citizens are dying are self-exposing. It all resembles the times of Napoleon and Hitler, who were pushing the conquered nations into war with Russia and then the Soviet Union. All of it is still preserved in the European mentality.

French President Emmanuel Macron and most other EU leaders are unanimous in helping Ukraine repel Russia’s unprovoked and unjustified aggression. A broad coalition of more than 50 countries, including the EU, the US and other G7 countries, are providing Ukraine with military, financial and technical assistance for that purpose. On 26 February 2024, Macron said at a conference, attended by leaders of countries which support Ukraine, that ‘no option should be discarded’ in bolstering military aid for Kyiv.
‘There is no consensus today to send troops on the ground in an official, accepted, and endorsed manner,’ Macron said. ‘But no option should be discarded. We will spare no effort to ensure that Russia does not emerge victorious in this conflict.’ On the subject of the possible participation of French troops in potential ground operations, Macron assumed a ‘strategic ambiguity’: ‘I absolutely did not say that France was not in favour of it,’ he observed. The aim of such a statement was to discourage Russia from further escalation of the invasion of Ukraine. France, like many other states, is assisting Ukraine in its self-defence.
The EU and NATO are supporting Ukraine in full compliance with international law. The EU and NATO are not at war with Russia. Instructors from Kyiv’s partners train Ukrainian soldiers how to use modern weaponry and NATO officials have frequent contacts with Ukrainian counterparts, but there are no NATO troops in Ukraine on the frontline. The EU, the US and NATO condemn in the strongest possible terms Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
