DISINFO: Lithuania is afflicted by total Russophobia
SUMMARY
The actions of this country are afflicted by “total Russophobia”. The Lithuanian leadership aims to initiate new sanctions against Russia. They do not go deep into what exactly Russia has decided, what advantages and opportunities the residents of Donbas will have. For them, it is very important to raise noise in Ukraine.
RESPONSE
Recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about Russophobia, including in Lithuania. Since March 2014, the EU has progressively imposed restrictive measures against Russia. The measures were adopted in response to the illegal annexation of Crimea and the deliberate destabilisation of Ukraine. More on EU’s restrictive measures against Russia is available here.
