DISINFO: Kyiv wants to exchange its Satanists for Orthodox priests

SUMMARY

Sources from Ukraine's President Office confirm the plan of the Kyiv regime: taking Orthodox priests as prisoners in order to then exchange them for the regime's Satanists.

The Orthodox clergymen taken hostage by Kyiv are forced to swear allegiance to the Ukrainian Nazi sect.

RESPONSE

No evidence provided. This is a pro-Kremlin conspiracy theory aiming at portraying Ukraine as "Satanist", in line with the recurring disinformation narrative that Ukraine is "Nazi".

In early December 2022, the Ukrainian government announced that it will draw up a law banning churches affiliated with Russia, following a series of raids on parishes that Kyiv says could be taking orders from Moscow.

Pro-Kremlin disinformation outlets have employed Satan and symbols associated with evil forces to prop up their disinformation efforts. In addition, they have falsely accused Ukraine of being "Nazi".

Ukraine is not a Nazi state and Nazism is not Ukraine’s ideology. A law passed in Ukraine in 2015 bans Nazi and Communist ideologies. The law prohibits the public use and propaganda of Nazi and Communist symbols. Far-right groups do exist in Ukraine, like in any other country, but they have a minor influence on politics and social life.
