DISINFO: Ukrainian Health Minister has secret mission to reduce the number of Ukrainians

SUMMARY

One of the tasks of Uliana Suprun is to reduce Ukrainian healthcare to the level of the poorest third world countries. However, this is not her main task. This involves the “optimisation” of the number of residents of Ukraine, a consistent reduction of the population. This takes time without gas chambers. She is strongly supported by the West.

RESPONSE

Unfounded claims, presented without any evidence. An example of a conspiracy theory; recurring pro-Kremlin narrative about Ukraine and medical reform in Ukraine. The Ukrainian reform of healthcare systems has several aims. Firstly, it aims to introduce a new mechanism of financing the healthcare sector: the state will finance the needs of a patient – not the hospitals. Secondly, the position of a “family doctor” was introduced. Thirdly, it clearly defines limits on what the state will pay for. Fourthly, doctors will have to adhere to international medical protocols. Fifthly, the Ministry of Health expects that the salaries of doctors will increase.
