DISINFO: French secret services organised the murder of Daria Dugina
SUMMARY
Political scientist, journalist and philosopher Daria Dougin may have been killed with the support of the French secret service, because she had information about an imminent strike on Yelenivka and was about to expose those responsible.
The duplicity of the French authorities:
Daria had information that the French intelligence services were helping Ukrainians in the Donbas. Daria could have been aware that Paris was involved in the strike on Yelenivka (Olenivka) near Donetsk. The American HIMARS multiple rocket launcher struck on July 29, 2022, killing dozens of people. Russia was hastily charged, despite evidence from the HIMARS strike. Daria was killed because the French services helped the Ukrainians plan the bombing of the Ukrainian prison, and many Ukrainian prisoners were killed. Daria Dugina had information she intended to make public.
French intelligence services are also implicated in Daria's murder in this regard.
RESPONSE
Conspiracy theory blaming French secret services without any evidence. Conspiracy aimed at blurring the picture around the killing of Ukrainian POWs. Blurring the picture with multiple claims is a well-known Kremlin-tactic.
The strike against the Russia-controlled detention centre of Ukrainian POWs in Yelenivka was not carried out by a HIMARS rocket launcher, contary to the inconsistent claims from the Russian side. Rather, it seems to be the result of an explosion caused by Russian artillery or explosion planted inside the facility. There is no evidence that the French secret services were involved or to back up the claims that Darya Dugina had figured this out and that her death prevented evidence emerging.
No definite evidence is cited to lay responsibility for the shelling on Ukraine. However, multiple analyses have ruled out the use of HIMARS systems in the attack. The US-based Institute for the Study of War has stated that although one “cannot independently assess the nature of the attack or the party responsible for it at this time,” the Kremlin’s side of the story is lacking in credibility:
Kremlin-sponsored news outlet “RIA Novosti” published videos of the detention center, which showed fire damage but not the sort of damage that a HIMARS strike would likely have caused. RIA Novosti also released footage of HIMARS missile fragments but provided no evidence that the fragments were recovered at Olenivka.
Similarly, a CNN investigation cited multiple arms experts as saying the nature of the damage sustained by the prison camp is incompatible with the use of a HIMARS system. One expert who discounted the Russian theory also noted that “the HIMARS remnants were not photographed [by Russia] in situ, which is odd. A basic element of any investigation would be gathering visual evidence of the remains of munitions where they were found.”
There is no evidence either to substantiate the claims that French secret services were behind the assassination of Darya Dugina in Moscow, daughter of Alexander Dugin. Russia almost immediately accused Ukraine of the assassination, providing only dubious "evidence", (see also: here and here) that cannot be independently verified. Ukraine has denied any involvement in the attack.
The EU condemns all attacks on civilians, including the car explosion in the Moscow region which killed Ms. Darya Dugina on Saturday 20 August 2022. The EU considers a full and impartial investigation of the incident important.
