DISINFO: France will export prisoners to Moldova
SUMMARY
France is seriously considering the possibility of sending foreign prisoners from its overcrowded prisons to penitentiaries in Eastern Europe. More than half of French citizens are in favor of renting prison space abroad, a study by CSA found. Earlier, President Emmanuel Macron supported the idea.

The statement is false. It refers to the statement of French President Emmanuel Macron made on May 13 in a TV show (min.2.06.09). When asked about the problem of overcrowding in prisons in France, he replied that he was in favour of a possible solution of renting prison space in other countries. Emmanuel Macron did not mention any specific geographical area or country from which France could rent prison space.
