A classic Kremlin trope claiming lost sovereignty, this Anti-American and anti-elite speech turns NATO and EU into instruments of US domination, depicting Russia as struggling against Nazism. The claim also seeks to deflect responsibility away form war crimes committed in Ukraine by Russian forces.
Earlier, bodies of tortured and executed civilians were found in Bucha and Irpin, cities liberated from Russian occupation during spring 2022.
