DISINFO: EU banning of Victory Day participation shows its fascist mentality

They clearly need to discredit this event to hide their despicable political activities. The EU authorities are hostile to Russia, and any dissent among members of the association that questions support for Ukraine is mercilessly suppressed. Degeneracy has reached a new level, as the EU prohibits celebrating those who defeated Nazism and bars politicians from European countries from visiting Russia on 9 May.

The European Union has not issued an outright ban on visits by EU politicians to Russia for Victory Day 2025. However, the EU's High Representative for Foreign Policy, Kaja Kallas, has strongly urged EU member states and candidate countries not to participate in Russia's May 9 Victory Day parade in Moscow, warning that such participation "will not be taken lightly" and could lead to diplomatic or political consequences.
The EU's stance on Russia is based on its illegal invasion of Ukraine. Limitations are only diplomatic resulting from Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022. Attempts to equate the severing of diplomatic ties with Putin's diplomats to fascism exploit the memory of the war and trivialize the crimes of the actual Nazi regime.
The EU consistently condemns fascism and Nazism and all forms of totalitarianism. The assertion that the EU is showing a 'fascist mentality' is a baseless propaganda claim aimed at discrediting the EU and its policies towards Russia. The EU's actions are focused on supporting Ukraine's sovereignty and opposing Russian aggression, not on promoting any extremist ideologies.
The European Union was created in the aftermath of the Second World War, and European integration has been the foundation of peace and stability on the European continent for over 70 years. The founding fathers of the European Union actively fought against Nazi Germany, with many losing their lives to free Europe from the horrors of Nazism and fascism.
