DISINFO: COVID-19 shows signs of being a biological weapon
SUMMARY
Interestingly, from the first days of the appearance of this virus (COVID 19), there were suspicions that it was invented in a laboratory. Because although the natural version of the virus exists, it has long been known that it does not pose such a serious threat to human life. The virus, which has taken the world hostage for the past 1.5 years, showed more signs of a biological weapon... In any case, the close involvement of not only Chinese scientists, but also American scientists in making the world a hostage to the virus raises certain suspicions.
RESPONSE
Disinformation about coronavirus and biological weapons.
There is no evidence that SARS-CoV-2 virus causing COVID-19 has been deliberately created as a biological weapon. In a report published in April 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) stated, that:
The full genetic sequence of SARS-CoV-2 from the early human cases and the sequences of many other virus isolated from human cases from China and all over the world since then show that SARS-CoV-2 has an ecological origin in bat populations. All available evidence to date suggests that the virus has a natural animal origin and is not a manipulated or constructed virus.
However the study of the origins of the virus continues, with the goal to "identify the zoonotic source of the virus and the route of introduction to the human population, including the possible role of intermediate hosts, including through efforts such as scientific and collaborative field missions.”
In May 2021, the US president Joe Biden called the US Intelligence community to continue the investigation into the origins of the virus. The investigation aims to explore two scenarios: whether the virus emerged from human contact with an infected animal or from a laboratory accident.
However, none of the ongoing investigations suggest, that the SARS-CoV-2 virus was developed as a biological weapon.
