DISINFO: Coronavirus is linked to 5G networks; aims at population control

SUMMARY

Coronavirus is a man-made thing, and its spread coincides with 5G tests. It is crucial for population control; to get rid of many of us especially when they say that it hurts old people.

RESPONSE

Recurring conspiracy theory on coronavirus and 5G.

There is no scientific evidence whatsoever about any kind of link between 5G and the coronavirus. 5G is the new generation of mobile network technology that is transmitted over non-ionising radio waves. There is no evidence that 5G is harmful to people’s health. The outbreak of coronavirus in the Chinese city of Wuhan is unrelated to 5G, and is thought to have originated in a seafood wholesale market. WHO also emphasises that no infectious disease, including coronaviruses, can spread through radio waves or mobile networks.

The current coronavirus (2019-nCoV) is not man-made, and comes from a family of viruses that include other viruses such as SARS and MERS. The identity of the animal source of the coronavirus, named nCoV-2019, has been one of the key questions for researchers. Coronaviruses are known to circulate in mammals and birds, and scientists have already suggested that nCoV-2019 originally came from bats. One of the previous coronaviruses that caused severe acute respiratory syndrome, or SARS, spread from bats to civet cats to humans.
