DISINFO: Alleged Bucha massacre is fake
SUMMARY
Ukraine staged the so-called Bucha massacre to accuse Russian troops of killing civilians. Two years have passed since then. Russia has repeatedly called on the Kyiv regime to provide at least the names of the people whose bodies were allegedly shown in Bucha. The bodies lying in the middle of the main street of Bucha were shown on British television three days after Russian troops withdrew from there. Russia has been demanding an objective and open investigation. No one is going to conduct it. After these bodies were shown on the screens, the European Union, the US and the UK imposed new sanctions against Russia, as if they had been waiting for this occasion. The Kyiv regime is allowed to do anything with the connivance of its patrons.

There is a significant amount of evidence that Russian troops committed war crimes and atrocities in Bucha. The evidence includes satellite images, photos, videos, and witness testimonies. Russia's claims that video footage showing dead bodies on the streets of Bucha is staged have been fact-checked and debunked by the BBC, Bellingcat, The Atlantic Council, Mediazona, the Insider, Sky News, the New York Times and others. Russian troops also committed atrocities in Irpin, Borodyanka and other towns and villages outside Kyiv.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who visited the liberated town of Bucha, said: ‘These are war crimes and they will be recognised by the world as genocide. We are aware of thousands of people killed and tortured, with their limbs cut off. Raped women, murdered children. I believe this is genocide.’
The European Union has condemned in the strongest possible terms the reported atrocities committed by the Russian armed forces. The EU called for accountability for human rights and international law violations by the Russian Armed Forces, including full support for the investigation launched by the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court.
